Hot spicy and sexy girls

“Girl Power,” co-opted from the Riot Grrrl movement, has come to mean for many young girls encountering it for the first time the celebration of “girl things”; fun tied to conventional definitions of femininity that is often dependent upon consumption. In its mainstream permutations it cannot be confused with feminism: even the former Ginger Spice, Geri Halliwell, describes “feminism” as “a dirty word.” However, less “serious” than feminism, Girl Power is playful and does not “threaten boys.”No I wouldn’t. We all admire strong, independent women, but I’m a romantic. I like a man who opens doors for me, takes me out to dinner, buys me flowers. I like men to treat women like women, and I think many other women do too.

Q. Would you say you are a feminist?

This female British group not only redefined the meaning of "Girl Power", they have been dubbed the "biggest UK pop phenomenon of the 90's", taking the world by storm. Their attitude may have packed more punch than their voices, but their talent as performers, a long list of catchy songs, attractiveness, and business savvy have made them not only huge influences on young female teenagers around the world, but international pop superstars.

Why Is She Famous?

Everyone knows they were a group of five before becoming a foursome, with the departure of Geri "Ginger Spice" Halliwell. Although you may not have actually been to see Spiceworld, you have definitely heard of the Spice Girls if you live on earth.

1976: Chinese earthquake kills hundreds of thousands

Hundreds of thousands of people are feared dead following an 8.3 magnitude earthquake in China.
The quake has virtually destroyed the city of Tangshan, north-east of Beijing, and Western sources believe the death toll may be much higher than the official figure of 240,000. Some believe the figure is more like 750,000.The Hong Kong Royal Observatory reports the earthquake was intense although speculation of the magnitude of the quake ranges from 6.3 to 8.3.Around 2,000 people are believed to have died when the quake devastated the city's biggest hospital, according to sources quoting Chinese officials. It is feared that many miners are buried alive in coal works in the industrial city, which has a total population of 1.6m.Diplomatic observers say that up to 80,000 people died in the first shock of the natural disaster.Up to 164,000 people have been severely injured, according to initial reports from the city.Tangshan was at the epicentre of the earthquake, although it badly damaged Tientsin. Tremors were also felt in Beijing, where residents were urged to live in the streets and keep to open spaces as it is not thought to be safe to return to their homes in the city. The force of the quake has been so strong that people are reported to have been thrown into the air after roads, bridges, railway stations, homes and factories were completely destroyed. The quake has also knocked out power throughout the city, making rescue efforts difficult. When the earthquake struck Tangshan at 0342 local time, more than a million people lay sleeping. The entire earthquake reportedly lasted approximately 14 to 16 seconds. It was followed by a 7.1 magnitude aftershock.Survivors have been digging through debris to answer the calls for help as well as find missing relatives. There is a deep-seated peasant belief that the "Year of the Dragon" - which happens every 12 years - augurs ill.The survivors of the Tangshan quake are living in tents and are expected to be moved to winter shelters, the New China news agency has reported. Aircraft and lorries have been taking large quantities of relief supplies to help the relief effort. The authorities later hope to move people to simple houses, which can withstand tremors and are warm and rainproof before winter sets in.Chinese officials have rejected any offers of help from the outside world, saying that survivors have enough to eat and wear and there are sufficient medical supplies and doctors in the city.

cricket ipl schedule

A number of words are thought to be possible sources for the term cricket, which could refer to the bat or the wicket. In old French, the word criquet meant a kind of club which probably gave its name to croquet. Some believe that cricket and croquet have a common origin. In Flemish, krick(e) means a stick, and, in Old English, cricc or cryce means a crutch or staff (though the hard "k" sound suggests the North or Northeast midlands, rather than the Southeast, where cricket seems to have begun).Alternatively, the French criquet apparently comes from the Flemish word krickstoel, which is a long low stool on which one kneels in church. It may appear similar to the long low wicket with two stumps used in early cricket, or the early stool in stoolball. The word stool is old dialect for a tree stump in a forest, but in stoolball it may well refer to the milking-stools which are believed to have been used as wickets in early times.
Stoolball is an ancient sport similar to cricket, still played in southern counties of England, especially Sussex, and is considered a precursor to cricket, rounders and baseball.

The game also underwent a fundamental change of organisation with the formation for the first time of county clubs. All the modern county clubs, starting with Sussex, were founded during the 19th century. No sooner had the first county clubs established themselves than they faced what amounted to "player action" as William Clarke created the travelling All-England Eleven in 1846. Though a commercial venture, this team did much to popularise the game in districts which had never previously been visited by high-class cricketers. Other similar teams were created and this vogue lasted for about thirty years. But the counties and MCC prevailed. The growth of cricket in the mid and late 19th century was assisted by the development of the railway network. For the first time, teams from a long distance apart could play one other without a prohibitively time-consuming journey. Spectators could travel longer distances to matches, increasing the size of crowds. In 1864, another bowling revolution resulted in the legalisation of overarm and in the same year Wisden Cricketers' Almanack was first published. The "Great Cricketer", W G Grace, made his first-class debut in 1865. His feats did much to increase the game's popularity
